In your opinion, do the poor opening sales of Paris Hilton’s CD prove that Americans don’t want her to sing?
Sure, some up and coming artists would love to have the sales that she generated, but with all the hype and buzz surrounding the album it really sold quite poorly it’s first week (about 77,000 copies) and it isn’t projected to do any better. Why do you think this is? I personally think it’s better when people who can’t sing to stay away from the recording studio.
I think people are basically just sick of her. I don’t think it’s just her lack of singing ability because some people have had success in the music industry despite only marginal talent. I could never figure out her appeal : she’s not funny, she’s not intelligent, she’s not interesting, she has no personality. She should just stick to shopping, sex and partying and stop trying to push herself out into the public eye.
Dale Chihuly is greatly revered worldwide for his singular artistic skill and unique creative vision. His revolutionary team based approach to the art glass manufacturing process has resulted in some of the world’s most exquisite blown glass creations.
Dale Chihuly began studying glassblowing in the mid 1960’s and by 1967 he was creating room-sized installations of art glass sculpture. He is largely responsible for having established the blown glass art form as an accepted form of installation art as well as environmental art.
After he lost the vision in his left eye due to a tragic 1976 auto accident, Dale relinquished his duties as chief glassblower at his studio. Due to the loss of depth perception he could no longer perform the art of glass blowing. He began to direct other glassblowers who created art glass sculptures according to his exact instructions. This was the beginning of his groundbreaking and revolutionary team based approach to glass making.
Dale Chihuly’s studio is famous not only for their beautiful sculptures and baskets but for their massive and absolutely breathtaking chandeliers as well. Many of Dale Chihuly’s complex multi-piece glass sculptures and chandeliers have been exhibited in museums worldwide to great public acclaim.
Dale Chihuly is in very rare company as he is one of only three living American artists that have had the honor of a solo exhibition at the Louvre in Paris. Chihuly art glass is highly prized by collectors the world over for its dazzling beauty and value as a fine art investment. I invite you to visit my web site to see some examples of Chihuly art glass currently available for sale.
